Orfibrace 1/8 18 x 24 in (Pack of 4)Sheets sold in cases of 4.Great for fracture bracing and immobilization splinting.Resistance to Stretch• Orfibrace™ has moderate to maximum resistance to stretch, which allows the splinter to handle the material firmly and to position the patient correctly throughout the molding process. • Orfibrace™ can be stretched and pulled around curves and corners without thinning or growing out of control.Drape• Moderate drape offers good conformability for an intimate fit. • Only moderate pressure is required to contour, fold, or hold material in place. Memory/Recovery• Maximum memory allows the splint to be partly or completely remolded. • If mistakes occur in the fitting process, the material can be reheated to slowly return it to its original size, allowing the splinter to begin again.Rigidity• Finished splints have maximum rigidity, so no reinforcement is required. Splints will hold their shape against the pull of strong muscles or hypertonicity.Bonding• Orfibrace™ has a traditional coating that helps prevent unwanted sticking. When heated, it initially has a slightly tacky surface, which helps the material stay in place to assist in creating an intimate fit. Pinch it together while warm to make a temporary bond. Apply solvent and dry heat and pinch surfaces together firmly to achieve a permanent bond. Surface Finish• Tolerates heavy handling without showing fingerprints or other marks. Presents a smooth, glossy finish for a very professional final appearance. The material cuts easily when warm, leaving smooth, rounded edges.Applications• Recommended for medium to large splints, such as back supports, antispasticity upper extremity splints, body jackets and lower extremity orthoses.
